Elder's Day Celebrations by Varishth Nagrik Sewa Manch - 1st October, 2017

Varishth Nagrik Sewa Manch, Sector-19, Faridabad celebrated "Elder;s Day - 2017" on Ist  October, 2017 at Community Centre, Sector-19, Faridabad. Apart from honouring  super senior members Mr. H.N. Suneja and Mr. K.L. Oberoi who have crossed 80 Years mark this October and Mr. P.K. Soni for his noble social activities, a  Kavya Goshthi was also arranged.

Shri G.C.Gupta and Shri RPS Nagar, Vice President shared the stage with Invitee Poets and our Chief Patron Shri Jagdish Prasad and Patron Shri J.P. Malhotra. Hundred Plus VNSM  Member were present to grace the occasion.

Program started with welcome address by Shri P.C. Sharma, General Secretary, VNSM followed by garlanding Shri  Jagdish Prasad - Chief Patron,  Shri J.P. Malhotra - Patron,  and Invitee Poets
Shri Rajiv Ranjan Prasad, Smt. Meenakshi Jijivisha, Shri Abdul Rehman Mansoor, Shri Nadim Nadeem. through  Shri Dinesh Garg, Shri GC Gupta, Shri PC Sharma, Shri Mahesh Mittal and Shri VK Mangla.

Shri Dinesh Garg, President - RWA and Special Invitee Member of VSNM invited our member Shri J.M. Sharma, Shri Ved Ram and Shri R.P. Sharma to recite their poetry one by one and Shri C.S. Dalal our Co-opted member to share his views on Elder's Day.

Shri  Jagdish Gupta, Chief  Patron and Shri J.P. Malhotra, Patron also wished all the members a happy Elder's day and expressed their thoughts on the occasion.

Thereafter Shri Dinesh Garg handed over the mike to Shri Mohinder Kumar, Executive Member who  navigated through the Kavya Goshthi Part calling invitee poets one by one giving their short introduction.

First of all Shri Nadim Nadeem entertained the members with his Gazals.

Shri Rajiv Ranjan Prasad recited his poems, one of them over Nithari Case.  His loud voice full of emotions and the meaningful words of the poem mesmerized the listeners.

Shri Abdul Rehman Mansoor recited his four liners full of humor depicted from our daily lives and
same were appreciated with claps by all the members with laughter on their faces.

Smt. Meenakshi Jijivisha recited her Gazal, Poem and Muktaks concerning the Elders, Women and their position in Society.  A Poem over "Malala"  was very much appreciated by the members.

Shri Mohinder Kumar, Executive Member VNSM  recited Muktaks, Poem concerning Elders and lastly a Geet "Pehli Baar Mile ho Mujhse" which members liked the most.

Honorarium Envelops were presented to Invitee Poets by Shri J.P. Malhotra, Patron.

In the last Shri Jai Kishan Sharma Ji sung a patriotic song and he was garlanded and presented a shawl by Shri G.C. Gupta, Vice President VNSM.

Shri Dinesh Garg and Shri PC Sharma closed the program with their vote of thanks and invited all the members and distinguished guest for dinner.
